We collect the following types of information: • Motion & Fitness Data: Step count, distance walked, and calories burned, collected through your device's built-in motion sensors. • Profile Information: Height, weight, and step goals you provide to personalize your experience. • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and compatibility. • Usage Data: How you interact with the app (features used, session duration) to improve our services.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: • Provide accurate step counting and fitness tracking. • Display personalized statistics and progress reports. • Sync your data with Apple Health, Google Fit, or Samsung Health (only with your permission). • Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features. • Send optional push notifications about your daily goals.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with analytics providers to improve the app. Your fitness data is never shared with advertisers. If you use health platform integrations (Apple Health, Google Fit), data is shared according to those platforms' privacy policies.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your fitness data is stored locally on your device by default. If you create an account, your data is encrypted and stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) to protect data in transit. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings.

You have the right to: • Access and download your personal data. • Correct inaccurate information. • Delete your account and all associated data. • Opt out of analytics and optional notifications. • Withdraw consent for health platform integrations at any time.
6. Children's Privacy
StepCounter is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
